A Trip to Galle, with a stop at Kalumara

On route to an overnight visit in Galle, Mawlana Shaykh Nazim stopped for Dhuhr and 'Asr Prayers in the village of Kalumara.  Thousands poured into the streets to meet him as he was carried by vehicle for a parade.  Two groups of children made Salawats as the procession moved towards the main mosque.  Kalumara is 100% Muslim, and the local estimate that 80% of the population follows the Naqshbandi Tariqat.

For the occasion, the mosque was repainted and refurbished, and food was prepared for the entire crowd to eat lunch.  The mosque was filled overcapacity and the lines for salat went into the streets.
