The shaykhs met with Arthur C. Clarke, one of the most famous science fiction writers of the 20th century. Mr. Clarke is the author of the renowned 2001: A Space Odyssey. Meeting in the reading room of Mr. Clarke's Colombo home, Mawlana Shaykh Nazim chatted with the prominent author, and gave a discourse on space, The Final Frontier. |

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim honored as international 'Goodwill Ambassador' Later that day, Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Nazim Adil al-Haqqani, ISCA Founder and
Honorary Chair, was granted a major honor by the Sri Lanka United Nations affiliate
organization. Sri Lankan Peace Ambassador Dr. Deshapriya S. Wijetunge awarded Shaykh Nazim
the status of international "Goodwill Ambassador."
At this interfaith event, representatives of the Islamic, Christian, Hindu and Bhuddist faith communities of Sri Lanka were present. |
