 April 20
April 20 began with Juma'a services at Masjid Kampung Baru. Mawlana Shaykh Nazim lead prayers and the imam of the mosque gave khutba to a packed jama'a. In the pictures you can see that the interior was packed from wall to wall, but outside the mosque was extremely crowded as well. Shaykh Nazim gave a short suhba after prayers then stood while all rushed to kiss his hand to the ongoing sound of Salawats on Prophet (s). Many many many people received initiation into the Naqshbandi-Haqqani Sufi Order (bay'a) that day. Finally, the imam of the mosque and several ulama from Kuala Lumpur invited Shaykh Nazim, Shaykh Hisham, His Highness Raja Ashman, and Mohamed Nazim bin Abdul Razak (son of the former Prime Minister) to join them. |

| April 20 was the day our
Malaysian brothers and sisters decided to surprise Shaykh Nazim by honoring his birthday
with a festive Mawlid celebration. After surprising the shaykh with a special cake,
attendees enjoyed a performance of Mawlid an-Nabi, peace be upon him, by the Haqqani Royal Mawlid Ensemble, who performed
salawats throughout the night.

The dinner and festivities were hosted by Dato Mohammed Moiz and his wife, Her Royal Highness Princess Nong Fatimeh binti Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah of Pahang (left). The event was attended by the princess's brother, the crown prince His Royal Highness Tengku Abdullah ibni Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Crown Prince of Pahang. (right) |  |

Dhikr was followed by a Suhba on the importance of asking support by seeking refuge in God's protection from the insinuations of the devil by saying "A'uzubillahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajeem." |  |

Also in attendance were His Highness Raja Ashman Shah of Perak, Mohammed Nazim bin Abdul Razak, and two to three hundred Naqshbandi followers. |  |

At the end of the evening,
Shaykh Nazim thanked his hosts and asked that they be rewarded thousands of times over for
