April 19 The entire ISCA delegation moved to the State of Perak where they were honored guests of HM Sultan Azlan Shah, Ruler of the State. A special awards ceremony for exceptional contributions to Malay culture and progress was held with citizens of Perak receiving awards from the Sultan, on the occasion of his birthday. The Sultan awarded 63 people such prizes, including Movie Star Michelle Yeoh (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon,) who lives in Perak. |

Following the military parade, the mashaykh await a private audience with HM Sultan Azlan Shah, father of HRH Raja Ashman Shah and Crown Prince HRH Raja Nazrin Shah in the Green Room of the Palace. Only the mashaykh and their companions were granted an audience with the Sultan on this occasion. |  |

Guests were then
invited to a Royal Reception and luncheon banquet in honor of the Sultan's birthday. Bahaddin and Mehmet Adil enjoying the dinner. |

Following the luncheon banquet, Mawlana Shaykh Nazim was introduced to the star of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Michelle Yeoh. A resident of Perak, Michelle had just received a medal of honor from Sultan Azlan Shah. |  |

Following the luncheon banquet, the Shaykh traveled to visit a waliyya, Tok Temong, who had requested his visit that morning during Salat al-Fajr. |  |

That evening, the Mashaykh were guests of Datuk Abdullah Badawi, Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, at his residence. Served in lavish style, the Deputy PM was overjoyed to host Mawlana Shaykh Nazim and Mawlana Shaykh Hisham and a number of ISCA delegates from the US. |  |
