Highlights of Japan

May 9 - 12

As Mawlana Shaykh Nazim, Mawlana Shaykh Hisham, His Highness Raja Ashman and their entourage toured Japan, their visit was packed with opportunities to meet new people.

Even as they rested at the hotel (left), which was across a bridge from the grounds of the Imperial Palace, the shuyukh were visited by many who wanted to experience the light of the Naqshbandi Order. Above, right, the imam of Toda Mosque takes allegiance with Shaykh Nazim and the Golden Chain. The delegation visited Toda mosque on the day they arrived.

There were also many invitations for Mawlana Shaykh Nazim and Shaykh Hisham to formally address various gatherings. At one such meeting, Shaykh Hisham addressed the Indonesian community of Tokyo and gave Shahada to several in attendance.

Surprisingly, there was also time in their hectic schedule to visit some of the most sights of Japan, including Mt. Fuji. The entire Naqshbandi delegation took a gondola to a vantage point from which Mt. Fuji could be seen in all its splendor.

Finally, at their departure, Shaykh Ni'matullah, Shaykh Rais Siddiqui and other members of the Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama'at of Japan requested prayers and blessing from our Most Distinguished shuyukh.
