Jumu`ah - Friday Prayers

April 27

The early morning prayers (tahajjud), known as 'night vigil' were conducted with over 300 present to pray with the Shaykhs. Many had to pray on the veranda and outside in the open courtyard, but fortunately, the weather was excellent and they were all accommodated comfortably in the Firdaus' spacious home.

Following Salat al-Tahajjud with the shaykhs a large number of attendees requested to take initiation into the Naqshbandi-Haqqaniyya Tariqat.
Preceding that day's Salat al-Jum`uah a formal seminar was held on the topic of Sufism in the conference hall of the Masjid at-Taqwa and Educational Institute in Kebayaran. The 'omnipresent' media was there to cover the event.

After the formal presentations of the seminar were concluded, many of the audience members rushed onto the platform of the stage in order to kiss the Shaykh's hand or to take a photo with him.

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim converses with Ustadh Abdul Kadeer, a teacher of Islamic Studies at a nearby Islamic Teaching Institute.

Following the seminar, media reps and cameramen rushed to the front to conduct interviews with the shaykhs. Here a TV reporter for Channel 5 interviews Shaykh Hisham.

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim then ascended the Minbar of Rasulullah, peace be upon him, and gave the khutbat al-Jumu`ah.

Following the Salat, the Jakarta Haqqani Mawlid Group, led by brother Amma, began drumming and reciting salawat as the Shaykh boarded the limos for the trip to the Firdaus home.

Back at the Firdaus home, Mawlana Shaykh delivers a suhba.
