Reception at Airport by Indonesian State Minister of Interior 

 
From Kuala Lumpur, Mawlana Shaykh Nazim, Mawlana Shaykh Hisham and the ISCA delegation traveled to Jakarta, Indonesia. 
 

There, as the Shaykhs deplaned, they were warmly greeted at the gate by the Interior Minister of the State of Indonesia, Mr. Djohan Effendi.

TV station cameras rolled and lights flashed as reporters and cameramen covered this unprecedented spiritual event.
The Grand Shaykh of Northern Sumatra Abdul Halim Tarigan greets Mawlana Shaykh with great affection at the gate as did retired Police General Hajji Muhammad Hassan.

Dr. Hajji Iyos Subki, Chairman of National Nuclear Energy of Indonesia, also welcomes Mawlana Shaykh Nazim to Indonesia.


The Shaykhs are welcomed by Grand Shaykh of West Java and Mushrif of Al-Falah Pesantren Zawiyah in Nagrek, Shaykh Ahmed Syahid .

 Mawlana Shaykh was then greeted by children bearing bouquets of flowers. 

Then as the Shaykhs stepped into the hallway, they were greeted by an enormous official reception awaiting them in front of the VIP Reception Hall of the Jakarta International Airport, while the Jakarta Haqqani Mawlid Recital Group played drums and recited qasidas and salawat in praise of Sayyidina Muhammad, peace be upon him.


Mawlana Shaykh Nazim, with his usual humility briefly addressed the group after a length of time sitting and listening to their beautiful voices lifted in Hamd of Allah and Praise of His Beloved Prophet, peace be upon him. 


Then, the Mawlid reciters, overcome by the spiritual outpourings manifest in the room, suddenly rushed to greet the Shaykh, to kiss his hand, and to seek his du`a.

 


The group then escorted the Shaykhs to the VIP Reception Room. along with the Interior Minister of the State of Indonesia, Mr. Djohan Effendi.

Suddenly, as if out of thin air, a number of television reporters for Indonesia's 'Big 5' TV stations appeared. Each asked to interview the Shaykh. 


After brief statements, with perfect good manners (adab), the reporters kissed Mawlana's hand and withdrew.
Mawlana Shaykh Nazim then led Salat al-'Isha in the VIP Reception Room.

Welcome at the Firdaus' Home

 
Following the VIP Reception, the Shaykhs and members of the ISCA delegation boarded several limousines for the long ride to the home of Mr. Firdaus Wadji and wife Suhartini. There, they were again welcomed by a throng of several hundred well-wishers and followers of the Naqshbandi Tariqat, including the ladies recital group NAMIRA and the male recital group led by brother Amma.

 

 

  

The ladies of NAMIRA welcomed the shaykhs with the recitation of Qasidas in praise of the Prophet, peace be upon him.

Mawlana Shaykh then addressed the gathered students, most of whom had been waiting 5-6 hours for their arrival, in a short suhba, before retiring. Mawlana Shaykh Nazim said that he used his spiritual power to keep them there and not let them escape by listening to their egos.

Morning was only three hours away, with tahajjud prayers starting at 3:30 am.
