One of ISCA’s primary functions is to present the traditional voice of Islam throughout all branches of the U.S. government, research institutes, and social organizations. ISCA has consistently promoted the not-so-common image of American Muslims as law-abiding citizens making a valuable contribution to the diversity of this nation. To further enhance the Muslim image, ISCA is diligently working for the issuance of a U.S. Postal Service stamp commemorating the Holy Month of Ramadan since 1999. Standing for Muslim rights, ISCA is a member of the National Coalition for Religious Freedom in the Workplace. We are also working to secure religious protection in American prisons, which have a history of challenging inmates’ chosen faith.
